Recently I have been looking at something called Wall O Water. According to seed catalogs, the product makes it possible for gardeners to safely plant tomatoes and peppers outdoors even when temperatures some nights drop well below freezing or there is a possibility of more snow.
I have to admit, the thought of fresh tomatoes in June is certainly inviting. The product is not inexpensive however, - $3 to $5 each for little more than a piece of plastic about as thick as that in a Zip Lock bag, if that good.
My problem is that the "reviews" I have seen in catalogs are all either five star or one star, with little or nothing in between. It is difficult to know just how trustworthy the reviews may be when they all read as if they were written by the PR firms for competing manufacturers.
At any rate before I invest $50 plus, I would appreciate an honest assessment from any individuals who have actually used the darn things for year or more.
Thanks in advance.
