String of events adds stuff to BOB
« on: December 01, 2012, 04:51:53 PM »
Well, a button popped off my pants. No big deal, just sew it back on--except no thread or needle, which got me thinking of the BOB.

So I bought a pack of thread and needles.
I looked around and there was a little plastic box that was just the right size to store everything.
I looked at some more needles and there was a packet with various sizes including some curved ones.
Thinking of the curved needles, they looked like they might be handy if I needed sewing up so I bought those.
But if I need to be sewn up, I don't want to use thread, so I bought a small pack of dental floss and a tube of antibiotic cream.
They all fit in the little box and I am out $12.

Well, while thinking about the BOB, I stopped at my favorite gun store.
The BOB really ought to be packing. So, Well, I .....
I was hungry, and you are never supposed to go shopping when you are hungry....anyway.

I walked out with a Taurus .38 and two boxes of ammo, one copper jacket, and the other hollow points.

All my frugal-ness of the first store all shot to hell, just because I was hungry and have poor impulse control.  ;D

But my BOB is coming along nicely.

I keep a couple of needles, with sewing thread wrapped around them, in the waterproof match case.....
Yes, I'm a physician.  No, I'm not YOUR physician.  Nothing I say here is medical advice.

Do I treat Glocks like I treat my lawn mowers?  No, I treat them worse.  I treat my defensive weapons like my fire extinguishers and smoke detector - annual maintenance and I expect them to work when needed

I bought one of these last February:

http://www.amazon.com/Survival-Sewing-and-Repair-Kit/dp/B004IAEFXQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1354492575&sr=1-1&keywords=emergency+sewing+kit

It's a nice little emergency sewing and repair kit. Bob, if you want to replace that with the proper Amazon Associates code, I'd like for you to make some money off of it. Colorado is one of those states where some libtards made it impossible for us to make money on Amazon Associates...

I bought one of these last February: Amazon.com: Survival Sewing and Repair Kit: Sports & Outdoors[/url]
URL replaced with Bill's Associates link.  I think. ???

Looks like an interesting kit.  Most travel sewing kits have crap thread, this might be better.  (Note:  Kevlar thread not suitable for all sewing purposes.)

Best Glide mostly makes Aviation Survival Gear: Best Glide Aviation Survival Equipment

It's a nice little emergency sewing and repair kit. Bob, if you want to replace that with the proper Amazon Associates code,...
No, no, we're talking about BOBs, on a site owned by Bill;)
