Prep Inventory
« on: November 04, 2012, 11:21:29 AM »
After seeing the havoc wreaked on the East Coast, I promised myself that I'd do an inventory of my preps this weekend. I did that -- entering all sorts of information into a spreadsheet made for the purpose -- and realized by the end of the inventory that I'm not as well prepared as I had believed.

On the plus side, this gives me a new perspective on where I need to focus my efforts. If you haven't done an inventory or just haven't checked recently, I urge you to do so. That'll keep you out of the situation I now find myself in.

I finally did an inventory of all our canned food - both store-bought & home canned. It did show some holes in our preps.

Next I'll tackle the freezer. Then the non-food necessities.

Not being a naturally organized person, these things are VERY difficult!  :-[
